Real Chinese Cooking on Main Street Goshen

Over 25 years feeding Orange County families with bold flavors and generous plates.

About Us

On West Main Street in Goshen, NY, this kitchen has been turning out the kind of Chinese food that keeps locals coming back decade after decade. That 4.4-star rating across 271 reviews says something real: people drive to this address on purpose, not by accident.

The menu leans into Chinese-American classics done with care. Mei fun noodles, fried rice with the right char, and combination dinners that fill the plate. The kitchen moves fast and the portions are generous, which is exactly what a working town like Goshen expects from a neighborhood spot that has outlasted a dozen competitors.

This is counter-and-carry Chinese the way it was meant to be, honest food at a fixed address that has earned its regulars through consistency rather than gimmicks.

What We Offer

The menu covers the full range of Chinese-American favorites. Combination dinners pair entrees with fried rice or lo mein and an egg roll, making it easy to build a complete meal in one order. Noodle dishes like chicken mei fun and lo mein are house staples, and the soups, from wonton to hot and sour, are made fresh daily.

Appetizers run from spring rolls and dumplings to spare ribs. The sweet and sour dishes, General Tso's, and moo shu plates round out a menu that covers both the adventurous and the reliably familiar. Takeout orders are the backbone of the operation, and the kitchen is set up to get food out hot and on time.

Dine-in seating is available for those who want to eat on the spot, and the kitchen handles lunch and dinner service throughout the week.

"I have always enjoyed their food which is good but their prices are getting a bit ridiculous. $14 for a dinner combination is definitely quite high and for one that isn’t modified or without any substitutions. Also their lunch special portions are very small. Most places you get the dinner portion for the lunch special pricing making it worth it."

"Almost $13 for sweet and sour chicken combination. Rice is always good but chicken was burnt to a crisp, the tiny bit of chicken in the abundance of batter was dry and inedible. Coming here 25 + yrs, never again - feeling bloated and nauseous and only ate a third of the dish. Truly disgusting 🤢"

"I have no problem paying over $14 for chicken mei chow fun but it would be nice if it actually had chicken in it . What I received was vegetable Mei chow fun. Owners are not friendly and not worth the conflict. If you screw up, OWN IT!!! Never again."

"The other day, I happened to see chefs making dumplings in the kitchen and decided to try someday. Today was our day. We got Steamed Dumplings, Special Egg Foo Young and Sesame Shrimp. The dumpling filling was good but I am not a big fan of the thick wrapper anymore after trying bibigo mandoo. Egg Foo Young was covered with MSG which overpowered the sauce giving it a weird aftertaste with no egg flavor. And the sesame shrimp was okay. Nothing special just your typical Chinese takeout place."

"I rarely give out 5 star ratings, but Goshen Chinese Kitchen fits the criteria. First off, the hostess is phenomenal. She is lighting fast with her order intake. What's even more impressive about her is her memory. She remembers her customers & what they usually order. Chef Johnny & his team are great at what they do in the kitchen. The food is on point & it's good. It is the best Chinese food restaurant I have ever eaten at 😋. If you're looking for the best Chinese food in New York state, look no further than Goshen Chinese Kitchen."
